blue pilgrim
Losing is now becoming a habit and I think we have to be realistic that this side will find it hard to be play-off contenders. Another excellent Halle header gave us the lead and we could have had a second before we let them back into the game with a cheap penalty. From then on W&F played the better football and were given the feedom of the park to take the lead. With Town constantly giving the ball away and affording the visitors too much room, it was a surprise when Poole equalised with a fine shot after about 70 minutes. Then, as with the Bognor game, we conceded the winner in the final minutes. The officials were poor again today, but we cannot blame them for the result. We really do need Callum Dunne and Ricky Sappleton back as soon as possible COYB

Brightside Bloke
What's happening with Ryan Scott? Glad the senior players Halle & Poole kept cool heads to score today two fine goals. Thought we deserved a point, but as mentioned threw it away in the dying minutes. Poor crowd again.

jl
We looked quite dangerous going forwards and if Seedy could learn to release the ball quicker he could become a very decent player. I thought Baker also had a good debut and added some quality to the side. Our defending has been abysmal lately which makes Scott's omission all the more perplexing. Our "strong characters" have now conceded late goals against Bognor and Wingate. I know players always get better when they are not in the side but we need to get Callum back quickly as we miss his energy and defensive cover. The continuing decline in gates is disappointing but in some ways understandable as it's hard to see how we can progress back to the next level if things stay as they are. Ryan.c
7 home games of which 4 have been 200 and something. That's the norm now. A lot of people think this club is poorly run (for instance, you can't come through the same turnstile as your child). Throw in some shite football and you get the answer to the above line. blue pilgrim
What's happening with Ryan Scott? Whilst, we must defer to Craig's expertise and knowledge with his players, it is a shame that young Ryan is not getting much game time. Last season, he was our most improved player IMO, and rumour has it that he had some good offers to go elswhere this season. He remained loyal to the Club and was MOM in the opening game against Grays. He must be frustrated, as we seem to be leaking goals for fun at the moment. I can see him going the same way as Harrison Chatting.
Billericay or Harrogate
Interesting Comments by Craig Edwards in the Non League Paper yesterday, he was very critical of our performance. But surely some of this inconsistency is down to the lack of a settled side. Every game sees some new faces and then all of a sudden 6 disappear. What we badly need is a settled side, not necessarily the 11 best players around but a TEAM of 11 who can play together. IMO rotation just doesn't work at this level, the players are part-timers and have precious little playing and training time together. So kicking off on a Saturday when some of the players are hardly known by name even is not a recipe for success. Craig talked about players who he can rely on for consistent performances week in week out ( I assume he was referring to Poole and Halle) but he then started with Chris Benjamin on the bench, a player who in my view works his socks of for us. But then, this management game is not easy, so what do I know !! 3 points tonight against C****y would be very nice indeed.
