Leatherhead v Enfield Town

After our resounding FA Cup win last weekend, it's back to the serious business this Saturday as Town hit the road to face Leatherhead in the Ryman Premier League at Fetcham Grove.

The Tanners have suffered a poor run of form recently, and have not won in their last six matches. Last weekend they unexpectedly crashed out of the FA Cup with a home defeat against Faversham Town. They currently lie 12th in the RPL table with 14 points from eleven matches.

Whilst the Tanners have home advantage and will be looking to get back to winning ways, Town are playing some good football and have every chance of securing points in this match, particularly if we turn in another Hendon performance. Fingers crossed!

I'm really looking forward to joining other Towners and giving our lads some vocal support in this match. See you there!

Very best of luck to Brad and our players. I'm sure they'll do us proud!

Let's hear you Enfield Ultras!!

Well done to Town on an impressive, gutsy team performance, which produced two fine goals, three well deserved points, and our second away win of the season.

This was an entertaining, evenly contested match, with plenty of chances at both ends, and it was a good match to win. There was a great atmosphere, and the Enfield Ultras were in good voice, along with other Towners present in the 334 crowd, and for most of the time it seemed like a home fixture. Well done all!

Make no mistake this was a hard fought victory for Town. It could have gone either way, but our guys showed great team spirit and plenty of determination, and in the end it saw us home. There were some very good individual performances, but I thought Mark Kirby was superb at the centre of our defence and had an outstanding game.

Let's hope for more of the same at Hampton on Tuesday evening, before our FA Cup encounter with Eastbourne Borough, down here on the south coast, next Saturday.

Be interested to hear other Towners thoughts on this match.

The game could have gone either way. Chances at both ends, perhaps more of the better ones falling to Town. I'm thinking of Kirby's header from Tyler's free kick in the first half, and Tyler knows he should have done better when through in the second half.

However, a hard working performance by all 14 players that were used. A great display considering two subs were used early on due to the injuries to Lockie and Hope.

A solid spine is emerging, MacDonald was again excellent in goal as was Kirby in front of him. Perhaps another midfielder and a target man up front to go with the pace of Kalu and Campbell out wide?

Still, that's something to build on, this was an away win with a clean sheet, an excellent team performance all round. Well done to all in the squad.
