Slough v Bideford

Is a tough game, they have only lost one in 5, with 4 clean sheets in last 5, so we know we will not get it all our own way, and will have to work hard to get a result.

They finished just outside the play offs last year, and despite a poor start have now got a full squad to choose from, having had injuries at the start.

Be great for everyone to really get behind the lads tomorrow.

We listend to the game on the radio, the second half we seemed to turn the game on it's head with the introduction of Adrian Sear in midfield, then with the help of an own goal and Johnny Dyre in top form it sounds like we really stepped it up to win convincingly, just like to say we will be listening in again next Saturday, good luck to the team and well done the radio team. PS West Ham have just taken the lead so Kim will be happy.

As said, the introduction of Sears was pivotal.

His bite in midfield was completely missing in the first half and the amount of chances Bideford had in the second compared to the first was limited.

Saying that, without Somerville making a number of crucial saves to keep Slough in the game at half time it could have been all over by that point.

A springboard to move on with.

Who'd have thought that Slough would win 4-1 after 55 minutes of play today. In that time,in a keenly fought contest we had failed to have a shot on target and had to thank Jake Somerville for keeping us in the game.

Still that's what we all love about football, you never know how the game is going to pan out.

The Adrian Sear substitution for George Short did seem to alter the way Slough were functioning and seemed to be the catalyst for our improvement but both our wingers made concerted efforts to enhance our attack play and had great games.

With Johnny Dyer and Scott Harris working hard up front, everything started to click once our first goal went in and the relief of it was visible for all to see.

Nice to see that we then took the chances that came our way. We've been banging at the door enough at games without getting the rewards,so it's enjoyable to see four goals fly in.

Well done all concerned.

Much improved second half performance with Searsy giving us that extra bit of bite and experience in midfield.

Once the first and second goals went in you could see the confidence come back and we started to play some excellent stuff.

Some good second half performances with Sommers and Searsy vying for MOTM.

I watch non-league football to get away from the play acting of The Football League. Sorry but the Bideford keeper NO NEED FOR IT.

I think the game changed with the OG, Yet again we were getting no luck then the OG and the confidence flowed back.

....but the keeper made himself look a right fool and made himself a source of amusement to all that was watching.Even the ref didn't fall for his antics.

By the way,I thought referee had a good game and let the game flow.Would have been even better if he had booked a couple of Bideford players for bad tackles but least he wasn't whistle happy like many.

Yes the keeper made a meal of it. But it was a late body check and Harris should have booked 100% (nonetheless he had a great game)
