Carthorse
Mole Valley (Magic) District Council vs Surrey County Council The souvenir commemorative programmes will be available for tonight's Mole Valley Magic verses Surrey County Council football match. Programmes cost just £1 All proceed go to charity Open Arms Malawi. Surrey County Council football match organiser Ed Vanson said, "Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world. An estimated 74% of the population lives below 1.25$ a day, maternal mortality remains high. Statistics suggest that 10 women unnecessarily die each day through childbirth contributing to the shocking statistic that there are 1,000,000 orphans in Malawi. And that is why Open Arms exists. Open Arms returns, supports and monitors immunised and fit toddlers to their relatives when we can, and give children the chance to grow up within a loving family environment and the security of a home. I had the good fortune to volunteer there in 2008 for five weeks and it was one brilliant place. I wanted to help and fundraise for them...so I am! " Further information can be found at www.openarmsmalawi.org. Don't forget the match will take place on Monday 15th September, at the home of Molesey Football Club, 412 Walton Road, West Molesey. Kick off is 7.00pm and spectators are welcome to cheer on 'The Magic'. Special thanks to Spencer Mitchell for producing the match programme. Carthorse
What a great night we won (Mole Valley Magic F.C.) 5-3 against Surrey County Council and raised lots of money for charity. Enjoyed doing the programme again and also enjoyed coming out of retirement to play right back and get an assist with the third goal. A big thank you to Molesey F.C. for letting us use the ground.
