stingray
Dunstable Harefield could be a goal fest Not sure about a goal-fest but pretty one sided. The Hares were in control right from the beginning and unlike their counterpart in the story, didn't fall asleep once. Most of the action took place in the bar where one of the staff flounced off after some confusion over two pretty identical food orders, although he did reappear for the second half. My mood wasn't helped by the bloke in front of me buying the last programme but I doubt more than a small handful were printed anyway. Perhaps the highlight came at the end when I was accosted by someone who asked who I supported and if I played for them. When I said I was too old, he said he had suits older than me. I don't suppose he'd have believed me if I'd told him.

Same old dilemma with programmes, print loads don't sell many, print 20 odd all go in 10 minutes.
Rhodes
PREMIER DIVISION 0-4 AFC Dunstable v Harefield United A report from another Forum by a 'Ramsgate': Wednesday 17 September 2014 - Spartan South Midlands Premier - Attendance: 66 (h/c 49) AFC Dunstable (blue & white trim) 0-4 Harefield United (red & black) Scorers: Harefield United (unknown* 9, Chennells 17, 33 & 63) Pitch: excellent, carpet-like - Weather: very misty afternoon, quite cold up on the downs My preferred option was a drive to Lewes, but not wishing to fill up the car with litres of gasoline, I used my reserve choice at the Creasey Park Community Football Centre. The game finished as a bit of a mauling for the home team, as Harefield United were dominant in the first-half and quickly went three goals clear. AFC Dunstable played some good football, but they always turned back and never kept going. They could have pinched a couple of goals back, however the visitor's defence remained tight and the back door firmly shut. For Harefield United, Michael Chennells was in great form with a hat-trick. However, the best goal was the first, a superb left-footed free-kick, which curled into the top left corner from 40 yards out on the left-wing - the audacity of an amazing goal attempt. *unknown, but someone knows who he was? I'm waiting Karen?

stingray
Michael Chennells - banging them in for Leighton Town when I started going. Glad to see he hasn't lost his touch. I also noticed how smart the pitch was, even though the weather's been kind so far - credit to your groundstaff if it's real grass.
