After James Dobson joined us at the back end of last season I think a lot of supporters had their doubts as to whether he would step up to he mark.

 

I think, so far this season, he has done more than enough to prove to supporters that he is not only a very skillful player but can also score goals.

 

Having said that, he is a young player who IMO does need to learn when the time is right to beat players and when to pass the ball.

 

I think I'm also right in saying if the player of the year vote was taken now he would probably win it. 

 

I pretty much agree with everything you say here,Reading Rebel.

 

Can also see the angle Curtis is coming from,too,in that Dobbo can be wasteful by taking on too many players and losing the ball or his failure to play the simple pass to set up a shooting chance for another player but I think currently he's exciting to watch and someone trying his best, unlike the many on Saturday.

I wasn't his greatest fan last season but on current form he's well worth his place in the starting eleven.

Thought he was poor last season. He has been superb this season and is our best attacking force by a country mile at the moment.

Also, TBF I think Dobbo only came to us at the back end of last season and I think played about 7 or 8 games.

 

Sometimes it can take a while for a player to settle into a club.
