Chenners
As some of you may recall I ran a charity project last season collecting football & other sports kits to donate to charity, primarily Kit Aid and Kits4Causes who send kit to children and young people in Africa and other parts of the developing world. This project culminated in the "Wear A Sports Shirt Day" on Friday, 13th June 2014, which, in addition to the two charities already mentioned, also benefited other charities such as Socks & Chocs who work with the homeless in the UK, SOS Kit Aid, a rugby, cricket and squash charity and St Lukes Hospice, a hospice for the terminally ill in the South West. Various tennis, racket ball and squash rackets have also been donated to youth projects in the London area. For season 2014/2015 I will be carrying on my project and looking to collect any old kit or other items clubs, officials, refereers and supporters can spare and are looking to get rid off. I would stress that this does not have to be complete sets of kit. It can be parts of kit, odd shirts, shorts or socks or any training tops, tracksuits, club polos, boots, pads or balls you no longer need. Basically anything. It can be any size - child through to adult. I am really grateful for the support clubs & individuals have given me and the kit donated last season. This has all been distributed to worthwhile causes. If you have anything you can donate I would be delighted to hear from you and am more than happy to attend a game to collect your donations. Thank you for taking the time to read this e mail & I look forward to hearing from you. Best wishes for the season. Yours in sport, Julian Chenery
