littlehampton
Tonight Town hit the road and travel over to East Molesey to face Met Police in the Ryman Premier League at Imber Court. At present both clubs have 10 points, with The Blues 16th in the table and Town 18th.Met Police's home form has been better than their away form. To date they have beaten Hendon 2-0, Tonbridge Angels 2-1, and drawn 3-3 with Leatherhead at Imber Court. The Blues have drawn 4 of their last 5 matches, including a good away point at Leiston on Saturday.Town will be looking to put things right after Saturday, and get back to winning ways this evening, in what is certain to be a very close match. There is every reason for optimism if we can tighten up at the back, and put away the chances when they come our way. Fingers crossed we can spoil The Blues unbeaten home record and bag the three points.Best of luck to Brad and the lads tonight.' littlehampton
UPDATE: Goals are in short supply so far and it has been a very even contest in the first half. Jamie Richards had our best chance just before the interval. All to play for in the second half.

littlehampton
Bad news I'm afraid Towners. Town have just gone a goal down in the 72nd minute (Steve Sutherland).
littlehampton
Full Time: Met Police 1-0 Enfield Town A disappointing night for The Town at Imber Court, where The Met retained their unbeaten home record with a one goal victory. Be interested to hear Towners own thoughts on the match and performance.
1F in Enfield
Good performance from the town. Very unlucky not to get something tonight. Met police defended from the start and chances were scarce. They then managed to score having had only one shot on target. Still feeling quite bitter. That's football I suppose! OldTowner
100% for effort. Played well, but just could not score. Nathan made one fantastic save in the first half, but let in, what looked like, a soft goal. Gutted. Play like this each game and we will win more than loose. Att 102 There were at least 65-70 Towners there. Great support.
Tom S
I thought the police were supposed to prevent robbery, not commit it.
townerboy
OT has said it all. Kalu had a good game and worked tirelessly. very good encouragement coming from our bench too. No idea why Jamie didnt head that chance rather than side foot it.
1F in Enfield
As OT says, it was very encouraging to see the team playing well. There is no doubt that if we continue this form we do well this season. COYT!
littlehampton
The general feeling seems to be that we played well, but could not score. Think in this particular fixture most people would have settled for a draw as The Met have a good home record, and are unbeaten there to date.We have now gone two games without scoring, and have scored 12 goals this season from 10 RPL matches. 25% (3) of those goals were scored in that fine away win at Hendon. Do you think we have enough fire-power up front to snap up the chances and produce the results needed to secure a comfortable mid-table position this season? 1F in Enfield
Difficult to say. If Hope returns to form and Cousins from injury we should be ok. Otherwise we may need to make an addition to the squad. Any news on what's happened to the former Watford and Millwall striker Lambert Asamuah? britman
Was wondering the same thought as Littlehampton. From watching the clips of ETFC this season and from posts on here. It seems a lack of scoring from some good chances is really hurting. A change in the forward line needed, perhaps?
