Miss.A.F.C.Hornchurch
On a plus note, yes i do actually have something positive to say!! I thought at times the team did give Maidstone a good run for it tonight and there was spells of good passing. However the only difference is Maidstone can find the goal, while we still cant!! i will give a mention to one player, George Purcell, who i thought was running his boots off tonight. Now the negative part, its becoming a very clear concern that we are not scoring and i feel that something must now be done to turn this round. We are 8 games into the season now and have yet to win one. It doesnt bode that well!?
cup of tea
George ran his socks off tonight - we need to get him on the end of some of those chances. I don't want to be critical, I know that everyone behind the scenes will be working as hard as they can to turn this around but we've got to sort the defence out - we haven't kept a clean sheet all season. We're just making it too easy for the opposition. Make no mistake, this is a good Maidstone side that will be up there come the end of the season and we were matching them until the first goal went in, then our confidence faded; Nice, easy game next
shrimper
yh good job its not margate next ! not sure what will happen but must be the worst start to a season for a long while , now up to 8 games so team should have started to gel by now it is a worry hopefully we will get a win or two when we start to the face the other teams around the lower half of the table a mid table finish would seem great about now
andydick
Whilst we haven't kept a clean sheet we're not shipping loads of goals. 4 1-0s, a 2-0, 2-1, 2-2 and then the anomaly at Leiston. Because we're not scoring though it puts more pressure on the defence and when we do concede, heads drop because we're unlikely to get back in it. Last season we always had goals in the team so conceding wasn't such a setback. Hopefully, once the strikers are all back to full fitness we'll turn this around. cup of tea
I've every faith that we will turn this around - the team and management are good enough, that's for sure. It's just hard being an Urchin at the moment. We just need a bit of luck, a fluke goal or something. When we scored at Leatherhead, we looked a different team. Urchins
Guys, Supporting a winning team is really easy. This is our chance to prove to other clubs that we are made of sterner stuff. I trust Colin, Jimmy et al to make the correct decisions in order to move this club forward. Keep the faith.

shrimper
im sure everyone on here will keep supporting the team and management , and yes it is easy to support a winning team , but cant say supporting the urchins has always been easy ! theres been so much drama and bad news with past owners , players , betting , sunday league gate , etc etc , along with some dreadful home displays over the last few seasons , and a relegation but we are all still here so i think the hard core have shown plenty of support for the club through the good times of league wins and essex cup finals , plus the bad times too , when many fans of our rivals may well have given up. #COYU
urchinman1961
Thought we matched them until they scored only a good save from their keeper stopped us taking the lead but when your up against the rolls royce of the prem we were always up against it great penalty save from sam and junior luke was outstanding heads could of dropped at two nil but credit to the players they dug in

bassman
Bassman's thought's are that The Urchins dug in well in the first half and were unlucky to be 2-0 down at half time. I prefer Starkey at right back but understood why JM put him in midfield during the 2nd half as we needed to push on to try and score. I am not a fan of Houmas so far, because when he pushes up he often loses the ball and leaves poor old Elliot who hasn't got the pace to try and make good. I am all for Back's pushing up but at the right time. Chris Bourne was brilliant at Wingate & Finchley and was good against Maidstone, I like him, but he is the only playmaker right now. We need another midfield playmaker and a striker that can gel with George. Lets hope Tuoy and May are back very soon. Sam Mott is brilliant, lets hope we can hold on to him.Bring on Margate. See you all on Saturday at 2pm.
Miss.A.F.C.Hornchurch
you lot do realise that it will take at least 4 wins and other results to go our way for us to get out of the bottom four?? I hope that we start winning really soon!!
