Steph
At last, a council that realises that for our housing crisis to be dealt with we need the state to actively intervene in housing policy. Councils must build, buy and, yes, sell houses in order to control the market. http://www.theguardian.com/cities/2014/sep/01/enfield-experiment-housing-problem-radical-solution
Papa Lazarou
Don't encourage them Steph. Next they will want to build on the QE2 and Playing Fields. There are plenty of empty homes up north that would be a better use of our money.
wilson
I hope the Council succeeds. What is happening in the Borough where I was born and raised is a sad indictment of the Government's failed policies. No borough should be a dumping ground for other councils. What the Council is proposing should not have any impact on recreational space in my view.
