Bumper crowd at Welwyn tonight. First 45 hasn't been great, cagey from both sides. Hopefully the second half will liven up.

Lol, snuck in.

There's me complaining it's a quiet game and 5 minute later we have a 22 man brawl and a Welwyn player sent off. That's better! Still 0-0 here

Still 0-0 here. Extra time beckons. Welwyn defending like lions with 10 men. Saffron Walden all over them but Welwyn keeper in extraordinary form

An absolute pearler of a goal from the 16, bent into the too right corner. Fine strike. Saffron Walden aggrieved as the tried to clear it in the build up and it struck the ref. Welwyn player picked it up and bent it home. Controversial but quality strike

And yes, we doubled last seasons same round game attendance!!!

Good times down at Herns Way, a lot of volunteers reaping just reward.

Down to the ground today to get my coach ticket for the next round Vs Thurrock of the Ryman League as we keep the flag flying for the SSML.

Must have been a different Welwyn Garden City you watched last season - The Citizens were not in the FA Cup last season.

I will be at this one. Two of my fave SSML clubs as well so that's a bonus.

0-2 Southall v Risborough Rangers

Some of the Southall players need some shooting practice in training this week me thinks. They had loads of possession and around 15 to 20 shots on goal and they still could not score which I was told was Southall's problem during the second half of last season.

The first Risborough goal came from a mistake by the Bruce Grobbelaar Style Southall keeper and the second Risborough goal was a great bit of counter attacking by the Risborough players.

There was some unrest with some of Southall faithful before last nights game and definitely after the game.

Revenge for Southall this Saturday maybe?

Yes, it has been one man and his dog since Steve Newing and Del Deanus left Herns Lane hasn't it
