Leiston game

Very even first half with us having probably the sightly better chances. Second half we battered them only to fall behind to a wickedly deflected breakaway shot beating Bull over his head. Mightily deserved equaliser near the end with Allen slotting home.

I'll take that as our "off" day despite us pounding them in that second half.

A few players off form today but a gutsy ending & a magnificent effort in the second half and despite going a goal down against the run of play.

Still room for improvement there though in some areas of our play.

Well happy with the way the team kept going!

Two teams playing good passing football, we were all over them 2nd half. There keeper made some great saves.

Wont play many better sides at HDP which is a good omen. The football we are playing is a joy to watch. Bennet was great today, few players had an off day at times but still look a team to be feared.

Leiston played a good attacking game and definitely had not 'come here for the draw', as a certain individual in the crowd continuously declared. The same individual also reckoned Bennett was 'rubbish', although apparently not so rubbish that he didn't get the MOM award. Personally I think Rents is a cracking player in that position, but it's nice to have a decent stand-in.

I would have given MOM to Charlie Allen for his fantastic workrate and match saving goal (though to be fair the MOM was announced before the goal).

I thought not that they would come for a draw but would be set up not to lose and get a breakaway goal as they had someone on the pitch who could do that for them. It was slightly lucky with the deflection of course. The other thing is that goalies seem to be lifted against us and there have been some good performances as per yesterday.
