What has gone wrong at Bas

BOROMAN

Recommended Posts

Ever since the incident we are not allowed to mention, and the ban for alledged non payment of fines. Basildon can't put two passes together, I assume the players haven't changed.

It has to be likley that events off the pitch have had an effect of the team. What is also interesting is that there has been an outcry in Basland re Billericay relocating there, and comments like "the council should look after Basildon United first, yet no bugger in the town bothers to watch the bees anyway.

I'll answer that, thought we should have taken the gamble and started him. honestly feel thats where we've been weak,in the mid-field think he will make a difference, I'm sure we will come good, you don't become a bad team over night, regardless to whats going on behind the scenes

every team goes through bad spells, you just have to be lucky if you are not going to play well. if you pick up wins while your playing bad then you have a very good chance of winning the league, unfortunately for basildon they have not. thats not to say they cant just that they have made it a lot harder for themselves. to say that they are out of it is stupid although they have got to turn it round soon if they want to mount a serious bid for the title.

heighway the tax dodger is a very good player but he was (and i think he will agree with me)unfit when he was with us at wakering , he told me his favoured position is right back but seems to be at home in the centre of the park . If he gets himself fully fit then you will see a quality player . After all he was in the Div 1 championship winning ford utd side not so long ago .

Even if Basildon won ALL their remaining games....for them to win the title, Concord would have to drop 12 points,Ilford 8,Enfield 7....even then you would have to have the best goal difference..... Basildon should start worrying about Sawbo and Romford, for the 4th spot, rather than winning the title.

I would bet that enfield will drop at least 7 points from now until the end of the season. then again i also expect they will to. im just saying i dont think they are out of it yet. would be a tall order but not impossible.

i personally believe its between ilford, concord and enfield. having played against all 3 early in the season (before i was banned) i would say ilford and enfield most likely. i dont think concord can handle a battle although they were the better passing side. ilford and enfield have the right blend of "pretty football" and directness, also both can dig in and battle.
