Steve Easterbrook
The club are relaunching the promotional posters for the forthcoming season and details relating to this are now on the club's website. This is a collective promotion and I am urging everyone to print one or two off and kindly ask their local newsagent, supermarket, pub, petrol station, workplace etc to kindly put one up. Posters will be made available on the website prior to games and this is a promotion whereby everyone can get involved. Any establishment displaying the posters will be named in the programme and we will be asking supporters, fans and everyone to also support them! It's success is really down to all of us and hopefully over the coming weeks/months we will see STFC posters popping up all over Slough. Why not print one off today - no time like the present! The Rebelution continues.......................................................... Thanks
stfcsam1972
Great to see that this is going again and what an eye catching poster! I have just printed off two and will get them up somewhere - just imagine if all fans printed at least two and got them up and around Slough! Great to be able to help out in some way and should slowly get the club out there!
codpiece
What a great idea this is. If only we could come up with a similar money-making scheme , but the distribution of posters is great , & like the above post I'm going to print & try to also spread the word.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2735478/Non-League-Lewes-unveil-luxury-corporate-beach-huts-huts-food-mini-bar-free-wi-fi-fans.html
Steve Easterbrook
Thanks to everyone who managed do put up some posters around Slough. I have been informed that the poster was well received and has been seen at various locations including....supermarkets, pubs, the library, langley college (as I know it!), in peoples cars, at work places etc etc. I was in Langley last week and I spotted one in Ricardos hairdressers - Trelawney Avenue - so if you want a trim go to Ricardo's - he is helping to promote our club! Today I am hoping to get out some rear windscreen promotions which I hope will start to generate interest for the forthcoming FA CUP. Later in the week there will also be a posters available......... but later today - please print off a rear windscreen promo and get it in your car. I have one in my car and it certainly attracted attention in Hartley Wintney this morning!! Once again thanks and the success of the posters is down to all of us playing our part and getting them up in as many locations as possible. Stuntman Mark
I've seen quite a few up around town - in Sainsburys and the Rose and Crown. It would be good to get the next one a bit earlier and I'll certainly do my bit although it looks like my "patch" was well covered already! GlenSTFC
If you total our home crowds so far against the same number of games last year I think you'll find it's a very good increase - I really don't know what some fans expect in terns of attendance!!! Even if we were top of the conference national we'd still struggle to get 500 the location, facilities and the fact it's not our ground means we'll never get great home support. I think the crowd at Burnham shows this too - bigger crowd there than we've had at Holloways and mainly Slough.
Steve Easterbrook
Attracting new support and increasing attendances is very difficult and something most clubs struggle with. Of course winning does help!! We are this season trying many new initiatives in an effort to increase support and one of these is a major push on posters and their display - and as I have previously said this is something we can all engage and get involved in. Later today, hopefully, there will be some rear windscreen promos which people can print off and put in their cars. The more we can get in cars the better - so whilst driving or when cars are parked interest and awareness of the club and the FA Cup game on the 13th will hopefully be generated. Later in the week there will be a new poster which again as many of us as possible need to get up in Slough. I will also let Alan Harding have some posters that people can have (in future I will also be letting Alan or someone have one week before home games). If anyone wants an A2 for inside or outside anywhere else please let me know and I will get printed. A1 is also possible for a really, really prominent position. This will be a slow process but if we can all stick at it I am convinced we will see increases in attendances and if we don't we have all at least tried!!!!!
