Chris Clapham
The Vale v Wood game kicks off at 11am to allow CWUFC committee time to get back to Wibbandune where we are hosting Project Clapham v Merrow at 2pm in the Surrey Elite League on the main pitch. Free admission and bar will be open. On pitch two, also at 2pm, there is also the Balham v AFC Spelthorne Sports game to watch. Tel
Could be a good day in the bar for you then, Chris !!!!: With the weather as it is,it could be a very good day at the bar, hire out some binoculars for the other pitch, everyone stays dry on the outside while getting wet on the inside. Chris Clapham
In fact, the Balham v Spelthorne game was on the main pitch (I wasn't aware of the change). That ended 5-2 and was an excellent game. Cheered me up no end after the debacle at Grand Drive earlier. We had 100mm (4 inches) of rain yesterday at Wibbandune and, at full time, you wouldn't have known we had had a game on the pitch. Super drainage there now. Ironically, the Project Clapham v Merrow match was abandoned at 1-0 on 25 minutes due to lying water on the pitch! Good lads the Merrow boys I must say. Balham are top of the league and play some lovely football. Good ref too!
