OldTowner
Town go to Canvey today. A good performance will be needed to get something from the game. Certainly, we need as many supporters as possible to make some noise and give the team your full support. Let's get there in numbers. Come on you Towners. littlehampton
GUTTED is probably how all Towners are feeling after this very disappointing result. I wasn't at the match so I can't comment on the performance of our team, or individual players, but to lead for an hour of the game and then to lose by a last minute goal does stick in the throat. Canvey is never an easy place to go, but having got our noses in front one would have hoped that we could have defended that advantage and come away with at least a point. Whatever way you look at it, four points from a possible fifteen is not the best of starts to the new season, and definitely not what most Towners expected. As VCD proved on Tuesday, there are no easy pickings in the RPL this season. Wingate & Finchley tomorrow will be equally as difficult, and we really will need to be on top of our game right from the start, improve our defending, and start banging in goals up front, to take maximum points from this challenging local derby. We're well capable of doing it, so come on guys let's get out there and prove it !!
1F in Enfield
Sounds like we came very close on Sat. A disappointing result but well battled. It's reassuring to know that we are getting stronger game by game. Same again tomorrow and we have every chance of winning. COYT!!
