I can't see what else St Mags can do. Unfortunate but these things happen sometimes. Enfield Town played at Levvy Green in the cup a few years back and one of the pylons caught fire. I'm sure if people have the tickets and can't make the replay if they contact St Mags they'd be able to get in free at another game.

What else is there they can do?

Most 'normal' will assume that the raffle ticket will ensure free entry to the re-scheduled fixture.

There is nothing in the FA Competition Rule Book covering this matter.

In the SSML Rule Book - rule 8.3.2 is as follows:

In the event that a match is abandoned BEFORE half time the Club playing at home will issue a voucher to each spectator valid for free admission if the match is ordered to be replayed. In the event that the match is abandoned DURING or AFTER the half time interval the Club playing at home is not obliged to issue such a voucher.

So fair play to St Margaretsbury for their actions

It just seems like a slap in the face that's all to someone who went to great lengths to make the game last Wednesday and has no plans to return to Station Road

Are you actually saying that St Mags should have given cash refunds?

Well the Club could have at least made an announcement, following the abandonment, that anyone who wants a refund (instead of the raffle ticket) can obtain one, afterall it wasn't the fans fault that the floodlights failed was it

I think they should of handed out individually numbered letters signed by the club chairman explaining the full facts of what had occurred, a full cash refund + 50% inconvenience payment and interest, a free pint at the bar and voucher for buy one get one free at the local pub carvery to make up for what happened.

The Coldend you are right it caused us a problem because the floodlight could not be fixed in time. Hemel Town offered their pitch free of charge. Anyone with the original ticket could get in for free if they produced the ticket. We had to pay for two sets of officials so we could not offer free entry to all.
