Windsor beaten 2-0 by Godalming.

 

There was a difference but not much - their defence was quite obviously from a higher level but we acquitted ourselves very well. Tight game, the 2nd goal was in the last minute as our 'keeper went up for a corner and they broke away to roll the ball into an empty net after (unforgivably) the corner didn't beat the 1st defender.

 

I do forgive Lucas actually as he's a 1st rate player with a great attitude but his corners were poor today.

I can't fault the effort or workrate. The best players on the park were the four centre backs who were absolutely rock solid. That gives an indication of the type of game it was. The game was played in an excellent spirit and, along with a referee who used COMMON SENSE AND KEPT UP WITH PLAY AND USED THE ADVANTAGE LAW PERFECTLY AND SPOKE TO PLAYERS THROUGHOUT THE GAME, enabled the game to flow and be all the more enjoyable.

 

Best referee I have seen this season and probably the worst corners I have seen as well.
