Unfortunately Knighty's groin injury is taking longer than expected and he won't be fit for Saturday, probably not Tuesday either. We hope he will be able to train next Thursday with a view to involving him over the Bank Holiday weekend.

 

Sean Fraser flys back from Turkey on Saturday morning (he has been coaching out there) and will be available.

Certainly more informative video of Banbury than the video of the game against Hitchin.

 

Banbury look like a very hard working team and on, what looked like a very difficult pitch, they seem to have no shortage of skillful players. 

 

I did predict a big win for us tomorrow but having seen the Poole video now think it will be very close and difficult game and we will need to be on our game to get the 3 points.

 

BTW how did Ed Smith get on playing for Guildford City, I see he was substituted on 78 minutes.

Shame about Ed Smith picking up an injury in the mid week game for Guildford.

 

Might be the opportunity to give Darryl Thomas a decent run out?

He did not pick up the injury playing for Guildford, he did it against Burnham in the warm up, and just flared up a bit, however I expect he will be ok.

TBF HR, I saw that Ed Smith was substituted on 78 minutes when playing for Guildford and my natural assumption was that he came off due to injury.

 

That's the beauty of having managers like Bakes and Unders, when we get things wrong (as sometimes we all do) they give us the facts.
