Fashions at the Fleet

I remember there were posts over the summer about fashions at the Fleet, and I noticed at Saturdays game that it was probably the best dressed match so far. Stone Island etc in abundance...

 

I presume getting ready for the cameras...

 

Or maybe it was just the game being so [****!!****] that I noticed those standing around me more !

I prefer a few cold beers after a stressful week at work !!

 

But watching the Fleet is hardly a way to relax, I find that its just as ( or in most cases ) more stressful than work .

Agree about best dressed match, I noticed a lot more SI than usual. Funny feeling that there will be a lot more against Notts County.

Could it be that due to no local Premiership or Div. 1 games on Saturday (except Gills, of course) we had some supporters from the higher levels of football come to visit us? The standard of dress is somewhat higher at The Valley and Upton Park. And that would also explain the group of geezers behind me singing "We are the Millwall haters."!

Hmmmmmm....can't recall hearing that particular song being sung at the pre season friendly with Millwall ???!!!

Lets hope that there's a good show for Notts County regarding SI.

I also like a bit of Henri Lloyd, each to their own.

 

Shrewsbury was my first home game for a while, will turn up for some more games methinks but nothing seems to have changed.

That's it, next Fleet game (I attend) I'm waring my 35 year old Parka. Never mind those nasty (twee) fashion imitations, this is the real fing!

True - I've given up the Vespa for a 'VW ('Type 2' - 30 year old) Camper' but the spirit's still there. Greeeeeen Onions! Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaah!
