stingray Posted August 14, 2014 Share Posted August 14, 2014 BALDOCK TOWN 6-1 AMERSHAM TOWN Goalless at half time much to my frustration, having only seen two goals in my first two games. Then something happened. Was it the half-time tea? Was it the motivational skills of HyperAngus? Was it the sudden appearance of that woman from Hitchin? Either way, once the scoring was opened in the 52nd minute, Baldock simply tore Amersham apart, netting another five in the space of 20 minutes before sportingly allowing them an 88th minute consolation. The renewed uncertainty around Top Field hasn't prevented Hitchin from installing a new set of units in the snack bar from where the chips continue to be excellent, hot, fluffy and plentiful although maybe a touch overdone on this occasion.
