michael
very pleased with that. would have taken a draw before the start-golden rule-just do not lose your first game. the wind-a great leveller as usual -and someone better advise TB's boys that the wind today was quite mild compared with what they can expect !! very very pleased. all played well i thought, with the back four looking reasonably re-assured at the back. would'nt argue with Rivs as m-of m-superb cross and well taken header.seemed a bit early to announce it though with 13 minutes left-plenty of time to concede two own goals-but fortunately he didn't and continued to play well. liked the way the team closed out the game at the end -albeit my heart says please do not give away any more 93rd minute corners. michael
as above, couldn't give two hoots that it was' just ' a 1-0 win. the three points was what mattered. the one other thing i did pick up on though, was that its pretty easy for teams to get themselves 'up' for first game of the season ,on a nice day with a bit of sun around; but more importantly-i got the impression that this bunch of players will genuinely be able and above all willing to tough it out on those wet november evenings and freezing january days; when its not for the weak willed
michael
hard working-Terry Brown, plugging away-Start Cash persistence--Blackz' blog ground out. all sum it up to me,and that it turn makes i even more pleasing-that the team stuck with it ,when it seemed it may just not be their day
