Weekend Fixtures/Scores - 09/10 August

Love a one sided home match report!!!

Johnno,2 match reports on the Westfield website, beat that by a Country mile.

Westfield 0 v 2 Ashford Town

Westfield thought they were unlucky not to take something from this game, with a harsh sending off in the second half,we lost our momentum. The visitors then went ahead through some sloppy defending,Westfield failing to clear the ball. And a second goal came later, from a free kick, which should never of been given.

Mole Valley 4 v 0 Westfield

Westfield didn't get the start to the season they would of liked with a 4-0 defeat away to Mole Valley. The scoreline did  flatter our opponents, with 3 wonder goals. We had a good goal disallowed, with the players trying hard to get back into the game.

But you didn't say that or that is what you would have said first of all.

I know people are bias and home reports generally are.

And I was asking who you were as you must know who I am.

You seem to be having a few digs at us these days Peter. I may be wrong, but that appears to be another.

There was me thinking you liked us?!

I know its early days, but what the hell has gone at Staines Lammas losing their first 2 games ?  I like others I'm sure, had them down to be one of the Div.1 title favourites.... this sort of form will have them as relegation fodder !  Whats going wrong ?

I appreciate they are under new management so getting new players (I presume) to gel does take time, so that could be the reason being that in the above report, the poster didn't recognise Lammas players from last season ?  Needs to get sorted sooner rather than later otherwise it will be catch up !  I know they have the intentions and ambitions of getting promotion to CCL Premier this season.

First game we deserved to come away with somthing bg after sandhurst were awarded a penalty only for our keeper to save lino flags hes off his line retake he saves again same againoff line retake now on the third go does exactly the same as first two pens but as they scored was allowed , roger inions needs to stop trying to ref from the line after the referee told one of our players the first one he would have given. Also failed to send off their keeper for a clear handball outside the box. Yesterday we defended badly two early soft goals killed us second half we were better but still farleigh an especially there skipper parked the bus they scored a third late on. We are a whole new side an its gona take time to gel as pre season was awful . We do have high hopes but have to take each game as it comes i thought sandhurst were poor and yesterday farleigh are a better side then previous years you have to earn the right an yesterday we didnt.

Thanks Newby for honest reply.  Yeah I read about the re-take for the pens thats does seem strange.  I recall reading on here that Redrup slated the team rightly so for lack of committment. ill discipline and lack of professionalism, so could this still be the case (no disrespect) I blame the players if so.   BS said that 8 played from last season, so is this still the problem ?  The Bamfords did well at Bedfont Sports in getting them promoted from Div 1 so I can't see why this cannot be repeated for Lammas, but do they still have the same player contact and will they play for Lammas is the question?

Not a dig at all, just a very amateurish report in my opinion.

You're right Peter, it's not as good as what we had before. Darren Pasley (Non League Nigel) was very good at what he did for us, but he decided to move on to pastures new despite our best efforts to keep him. There are some good websites in the CCL, but Darren was as good as any of the others - a very difficult act to follow.

Hartley Wintney 2-1 Epsom

Not a fair reflection of the play as Hartley deserved a bigger win, but our keeper had a great game and we might have got away with a draw if we hadn't given away a clumsy penalty near the end.

The match report is here:

PS By the way Smudge, Mary Hopkin was 1968!! #pedant

Powelly, yeah shame about Darren moving on,loyal as they come.A hard act to follow.A website is very important in how a Club is perceived,by the information it delivers.

Rich,a very honest and concise report, would expect nothing less from you, thanks for correcting me of course it was 68.

Bg ill re phrase it its a new squad but with holidays, injuries an yes lack off commitment its not the best start. The commitment level will change as we get to grips with players circumstances, at the end of the day we dont pay so we have to consider families and work commitments. Gavin is playing but stuart is a while off after knee surgery in the summer. We are hopeful of a good solid season bug new beginnings at the helm of a new club which now has no reserves an no links to there youth system its a bit like starting a team from scratch but the bamfords myself an club officials are addressing this BG. Hope that helps

Newby excuses excuses. Think you need to look at yourself as a coach. by all accounts low numbers at training you have no contacts and you say it's a new team 8 players that started yesterday where there last season.

The contacts me gavin an stuart got your club promoted without them youd still be in division one , im also not a coach ill be doing my FA courses before i claim to be one. Can i suggest you concentrate on your future rather than worrying about your past if your at the game friday ill get you a john smiths but i doubt youll make yourself known. Good luck for the season
