Staines 1-3 Farleigh Rovers

Great result for us, completey new Staines team. Didn't really put a lot of pressure on us, we played come good football at times in the end a well deserved win. Officials very good also. Redrup very lucky his late tackle missed our winger or he was heading for the showers early. All the best to Staines.

Great way to get our season started at colliers wood today,Coming from a goal down to beat Windsor. Thought they were very good and really like the Aaron Lennon lookalike on the left.2 penalties shouldve been awarded But only 1 was to the wood.time for a curry.

Raynes Park 0 v 0 Knaphill.

A very enjoyable day out at Raynes Park, the match Raynes Park should of been out of site at half time,2nd half Knaphill should of won the game, had 3 golden opportunities to win the game, but as Dobbo said post match, pointless giving the Players rolls,'as they could not  finish their Dinner' a truer word never spoken. The stand out player on the day was non other than a Forumite Johnno Judo,a 100% committed performance from the former ageing Cove superstar,he definitely rolled back the years with this performance, and many could learn from his example,120%effort,calmness under pressure, hard but fair in the tackle, and most of all a vocal presence on the pitch, with encouraging words to his team mates.Their were 3 other players that caught my eye,the Raynes Park keeper Sam Filler, solid in all departments, and Atoi Okai, who I believe has been approached on a 7 dayer by Epsom and Ewell, tricks and pace galore, but when he learns it is a team game, and one learns to pass and shoot,he will go 2 levels higher.Likewise  the Knaphill 10,think it is Jahmal Ramsey who has pace to burn, but unfortunately, no end product.

The Officials

Andy Mawby 10, Ian Sempel 10,Marlon Williams 10 were an excellent team, who allowed the game to flow at all times.

The warm welcome I received from both sides was much appreciated,as I am a friend of all CCL Clubs, and those that of met me will no this.Nice to chat with fellow forumites Johnnojudo,Dalts,Young Veteran(think he is stalking me) over a drink.

But one thing I want  you all to know, that most would not know about,is that after the Fire that ruined Raynes Parks changing rooms,in late May,that a lot of hard work has been put into revamping the whole of the Clubhouse,Changing rooms,Officials Room,Bar Area,Function Room,to be honest it looks amazing. And all done by Committee,Managers,Players free of charge for the Club they all love. The pitch was decent too, considering the recent dry weather.WELL DONE TO ALL INVOLVED AT RPV,Give yourselves a big pat on the back.

Cards 1 yellow R.P. 1 yellow Knaphill

Farnham Town 0-1 Guildford City.

City dominated the 1st half and should of been at least 4/5-0 up but HT. Nevertheless a penalty gave them a slight lead at the break. Second half started pretty much the same, should of confirmed the 3pts before the hour. Farnham pushed on in the last 15/20 without every really threatening, to be honest I can't recall a shot on target for them throughout the 90.

First time I've been back to Westfield since Ashford were last in the C / C. I assume it's a council establishment with excellent sporting facilities including the football stadium

Westfield have every right to be proud he their home ground

I don't oftern praise money pinching local Councils, but I take my hat off to them

Now someone tell me it was done with private money!!!!!!

Not sure what happened in reporting but a good day in good company and a close game

I apologise for jumping the gun, but took it to be correct.   That's the media for you !!

ANYWAY.  IF  you can actually GET  into the increasingly cr@p Dorking Advertiser web-page, their match report is here:-
