Always Gate
Today I asked via a contact form for a reply about a message I made a few days ago. I asked if there would be a more professional approach to the games that the under 21's play, i.e. advertising, food and drink, raffles info on 1st team away games "etc" "etc" . Hopefully a reply will be forthcoming, In my opinion the U21's need and deserve better support, they play exciting football and one of the ways to get more people in to watch is by better promotion of the team. Finally well done to the few who do help, for last season and hopefully this.
Always Gate
Just received a reply, stating the clubs commitment to the U21's alongside everything else at Hartsdown, and I thank them for that, however I need a bit more convincing about u21's matchdays , I suppose we shall wait and see the outcome in the near future. dflman
Are their games played on the main pitch ? Another good reason for having 3/4G of course. I have a grandson who is just starting his broadcasting career with Academy FM (Thursday evening 6-9pm) who could probably be persuaded to arrange music etc if you like. Maybe we could have an item on the MSC agenda for next meeting as to what we can do to help as we all want the U21 coming through into the first team don't we ?. Chris1
U21s disbanded. The official announcement doesn't say much. Can anybody shed any light on it?
BlueGate Alan
It says a lot to me, the manager resigned along with 5 players so would be much too late to regroup. Why they have who knows but not a great time to do it IMO.
dflman
Spent most of last evening working out what could be done to assist the U21 including publicity via community local radio station Academy FM and an announcer in tune with the age group. Took the dog out, came home and just checked Facebook before going over to the club to discuss. That was a bit of a pointless excercise.

Eastside Urchin
It's my experience with youth sides at clubs that sometimes those in charge can become a bit power hungry, not saying that's the case here but from your Facebook page it seems there is done anger towards the club but you'd wonder what the club stands to gain by alienating the youth set up,absolutely nothing is my guess. There are lots of good people associated with youth football who give their time for often nothing but to see youngsters progress but there are some who have their own agendas and want more than clubs can give or handle,it often ends up with the kids suffering, but as I say,not saying this is the case here but just that it's not always as black and white as things seem.
