Biggest game of the season coming up

Recommended Posts

No I am not talking about the game against that mickey mouse outfit from Roots Hall on Wednesday, I am talking about the game next Saturday against Hornchurch. I think this game could be as big as the ones against Gravesend and Aldershot. Having spoken to a few Hornchurch fans they really believe that they have a team capable of giving us a run for our money this year and their results back it up.

I hope the players dont tire themselves out on Wednesday and forget they have a far harder game on Saturday.

From what I've seen of Hornchurch, (two occasions this season) they play very much like Canvey's style.

I can see Mark Graham coming back to bite us on the [****!!****] for this game, he was class against Darlington! As were Vinnie John & Jude Sterling...Hmmm Jude Sterling I remember his last visit to Park Lane!!

We'll have to be on our guard against the Urchins and if we lose to Southend, we must get it out of our system quick, if we win we must keep our feet on the floor!!

Hornchurch's main weakness seems to be if their oppostion uses the entire width of the pitch. Against Darlington their defenders were getting stretched across the edge of the penalty area when Darlo were kicking into the corner flags and they're attackers managed to get round the back of them, but as Darlo were crap they didn't have anyone decent in the box to latch onto the crosses that the Urchins couldn't deal with.

From what I've seen they're good, but we're better I know we can beat them, the team needs to believe we can beat them and then we will beat them. Our Wingers should be able to have a field day against them.

But the atmosphere will suck unless they have the temporary stand behind the goal still there and we can get in it! <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Seen Hornchurch a few times this season and the player who has always impressed me is Jon Keeling who is a real quality player.

Ground isn't the most atmospheric but let's really get behind the boys on Saturday. Really looking forward to it!
