RalphC
The Premier League will use "Vanishing Spray" this season, it has been announced. At this year's World Cup in Brazil. the bright white foam was used by referees at free-kicks to make sure defensive walls do not encroach closer than 9.15m (10 yards) and proved popular with fans and officials. Premier League Chief Executive, Richard Scudamore, said: “At the Premier League we are open to developments that enhance the competition and it was clear from watching the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil that Vanishing Spray benefited referees, players, and all of those who watched the matches. Could vanishing spray work in non league - is it required?
Big J R
I thought it worked very well in the World Cup. There can be no arguments about encroachment. I can't see any reason why this could not be adopted right down through non-league.
