Eastside Urchin
I've not been able to get to any pre season games so far but from reports it seems we've got a really good strong squad starting to form and it seems the management have made some very shrewd signings and with Tuohy scoring for fun again and Purcell up top I believe we will run Margate as close as anyone will this season. With Bentley in the team we have one of the best left backs in non league football IMO and The keeper sounds like an improvement on ignacio who was great for the club. The futures looking good for us in my opinion and I'm actually looking forward to this season which I really haven't done for the last couple of seasons . cup of tea
Always like my trips down to your place, top club, top fans and top officials. Still hope we beat you though As for the season, I think the good management that we've got is showing through again. Obviously money talks and Margate will be rightly favourites but if we can sort out our Achilles Heel which is our home form then we could be on for a good season. Hope the new lights do the trick! As for the rest, I suspect the usual teams will be up there - Maidstone, Kingstonian, Lewes are due a good season, Tonbridge, Dulwich, Bognor - wouldn't discount Canvey and Billericay will be stronger as well (heard they've signed a 6' 4" Forward, wonder what their tactics are going to be this season?) Could be a competitive season.
Wivenhoe Urchin
We can't look too much into pre-season results as we don't know how well or not teams we have played are going to do. I saw the Thurrock game and thought both sides showed promise. Our win at Hemel Hempstead seems a pretty good one. I've read the hype about Margate and being clear favourites but in this league teams have normally beaten each other so cannot see them going unbeaten often and certainly not the whole season. I expect generally the Kent clubs to do very well and think we should aim to finish in the top 5 again. If we can do that then I think we will have had another good season and even if we fall short like we almost did last season, it would still be solid as we will have been in contention. For me that's the most important thing.
stuck at the bar
Agree we have the basis of a good and balanced squad which is to the credit of Jim and Colin. My hope for the season is that we can get to the end on honest footballing terms, where ever that takes us, without any of the histrionics and nonsense that has seemed to envelope this club over the last couple of seasons. Play well, put in the proverbial shift and have pride in the shirt lads, the true Hornchurch fans will back you. I too feel positive.
Miss.A.F.C.Hornchurch
There is nothing stopping us from winning this league. We only didn't finish top, last season due to dropping too many silly points. Then didn't go up because, well, i don't need to say why. I've not been to any pre-season yet, but I'm pleased with how well we have been doing and from the looks of things while having a little nose at training, we look good. Better than we have done for a couple of seasons now. There's a lot more skill, pace and a togetherness. Go on the Hornchurch!!

obis
My personal hopes are to find the time get over to the bridge a bit more often. Hopes for the team are to have a good cup run and being in the promotion picture. Above this is for the club to be able to play attractive football and for the crowd figures to grow. Here's hoping! shrimper
been a few changes during the summer so hopefully the team will settle in well and will be some where up in the top ten , the league will be as tough as ever and last year was a real chance to have gone up i would think this season margate maidstone dulwich kingstonian billericay canvey hendon bogner will all be up there . would be good to see some better home displays and crowds going up a little , the injuries to stay away as we do have quiet a small squad of course and for the floodlights to be brighter
