Smudge
5 days to go to the start of the Season, and as yet NO ONE,has answered a question I have asked on several occassions. So could someone preferably Lazurus, inform us not in the know supporters--- We do pay our way to support this League!!!! Will it still be 3 up from Div1 and 3 down from the Premier. Thought it was Ironic that after what happened to Ash last year, that the fixture Secretary gave Ashford Town the short straw this year, can be no moaning about that from anyone, for them finishing their season earlier than the rest. Windsor_Sec
I'm sure you will get a definitive answer................... ...............when the FA give the league a definitive answer !
Tel
If the F A are involved we should know how many up & down by hopefully Christmas, but are they?
VPCTFC
The league handbook was issued to club secretaries a couple of days ago. I don't know when this season's version will be put on the CCL website. Still three down from the Premier, three up from Division 1. The FA let leagues who span step 5 and step 6 sort out their own promotion and relegation without getting involved unless they have to (or want to). That hasn't changed for this season either. lazarus
We can never say exactly how many clubs will be promoted to or relegated from the Premier Division until after the end of the season as all decisions stem from the situation at the top of the league. If one club goes up to Step 4 but three clubs are relegated down to us, it can reduce the opportunities for promotion from Division One, even after three clubs had been relegated from the Prem, although I would expect the FA to step in, as they did this year and transfer clubs to other leagues. On the other hand if one club goes up and nobody is relegated to us, that could result in a club near the foot of the Premier being reprieved. I can confirm that the top three in Division One will remain eligible for promotion if they meet the criteria and the bottom three in the Premier will remain eligible for relegation. The emphasis is on the word eligible as it is a numbers game and depends upon FA decisions. I sometimes wonder why they don't come along and run the leagues themselves. In summary though, the principle of three up, three down remains, but, as always, subject to the factors above. I can also state my personal belief that we need 22 clubs in the Premier Division and I very much hope that will happen for season 2015-2016. The decisions relating to both Eversley and Ash were taken in isolation and I doubt that the number of clubs we might end up with in each division was a factor that influenced anyone in how they voted. I do know, as anyone who has read my long winded introduction to the fixtures will be aware, that it does not help fixture compilation if one club is free every week. Hope that helps. VPCTFC, the league handbook is not normally made available to the general public and I have not been advised to make it that way as yet. If the league officials deem it necessary for the handbook to be placed in a public location then I shall do so.

I am NOT an official of DFC during this season, but I am privy to a pdf. file of the handbook which is very useful to me for occasional liason duties. Windsor_Sec
You can't just go putting everyone's private telephone numbers in the public domain !
Big J R
You can't just go putting everyone's private telephone numbers in the public domain ! Quite so. I assumed the person requesting the information had a perfectly legit reason for asking. If they haven't, then they should request any required information from the League Secretarydirect. VPCTFC
You can't just go putting everyone's private telephone numbers in the public domain ! A lot of leagues put their handbook online also the FA have the 'Find-A-Club' system which is publicly available and lists contacts details of every club secretary in the country although I believe, under the Data Protection Act, they have an opt out clause if secretaries don't want their details shown. http://www.thefa.com/my-football/football-volunteers/Find/Find%20a%20Football%20Club Anyroad, you don't need the whole handbook online. You can edit out personal details if need be. What I meant in my previous post is that last season's league rules are online but this season's aren't yet. Having said that, 99% of the rules are the same for all the leagues so are easily available. One of the things the individual leagues that cover steps 5 and 6 can choose is their internal promotion and relegation though. The FA's rules at our level for 2014-15: "The promotion and relegation of Clubs between Steps 5, 6 and 7 shall be dealt with as follows. Movement of Clubs between Steps 5, 6 and 7, where a League operates at each Step, shall be included in their constitutional rules and regulations. Irrespective of any provision contained within the Rules, the Clubs finishing in bottom position in each of the fourteen Step 5 divisions will be relegated to Step 6 and will not be reprieved, as determined by the LC."
