Hereford United (A)

The reality is that there will be quite a few Hereford supporters at the game so not even all of their fans agree with the boycott. Coupled with their stance on not attending away games plus the fact our managers have said they'd like to see us there makes this a non-decision. I will be there supporting my team.

568 was the 'official' attendance, but people there counted less than 400. More protestors outside the ground than inside the ground. And the small matter of 2000 less attendees than the last league match at Edgar Street

I will be going on Tuesday. No one from Hereford has done anything to sell this boycott to Slough fans and even if there were only 400 there, it's still an attendance most teams would like at this level. At a guess, maybe 50 of those would be St Neots going on what they took to Slough a few seasons ago.

So someone guessed at 400, When I get the attendance (like today) I ask the people I stand with to guess at the gate and today there guesses were from 250 to 320. So peoples guesses are normally out by quite a few. In case you didn't know it was 453.

Might have something to do with the league they're in to why the attendance was well down, look at us our last season at wexham was an average 1,200 and now look less than 300

After yesterday's match,to me the team picks itself for Hereford match, that being a 4-4-2 of

Sommers,

Moran Hollis Yorke R.Parsons

Witham McClurg Short Dobson

Dyer Thomas

....but I expect it's going to be down to who is available for this long trip in midweek and of course, who has picked up knocks.

Jake Parsons did his case for inclusion no harm with a well taken goal. He's certainly a handy player to have especially with the likelihood that Wazza going to be out for sometime.Competition for places are building up nicely.

I'll hang fire until we hear who's available. I think Bakes has already said that one player cannot make it due to work commitments.

With Luke Knight now available to play if he is over his injury and with Smithy and possibly Sean Fraser back on Saturday, competition for places will get very interesting.

I'd stick with 4-5-1 still at Hereford, with Knight in for Frith.

I'm surprised you would play 4-5-1,Chris,considering Hereford lost yesterday and our positive start.I like the idea of Luke Knight playing in a central 3 man midfield but a lone striker is a waste of the attacking talent we have.

If anything I would be optimistic and play a 3-5-2 if you want to include Knighty.

whatever formation we go with its great that we have much more natural options to be flexible with our system. at least 2 or 3 quality options in pretty much every position.

4-5-1 didn't work too badly and in time the team will learn to make it work better and better. can't write it off as a failure from 1 game. saying that bringing Daryl Thomas on did give us at least 1 body in and around the box when we had crossing opportunities whereas before that we were struggling to have any options to aim for
