The idea that 500 Hereford fans would turn up to Holloways Park on a Tuesday night, to support a team that for all intents and purposes they do not support or recognise, and therefore costing Slough circa £6k is a little far fetched don't you think? 

 

 

I think most right minded fans will have sympathy and agree with the Hereford Fans who want the present owners out of their club at any cost.

 

Unfortunately they are being so blinkered and selfish in their plight that they refuse to see that by boycotting away games they are depriving other clubs of much needed income whilst at the same time they want supporters to help them out by boycotting their home games.

 

Travelling to away games to support a team that they consider does not exist IMO should really not be a consideration if they want other clubs supporters to show solidarity in their hour of need.

 

What better way to show their appreciation and at the same time supporter solidarity by turning up to away games where they can voice/show their disapproval and at the same time help out other clubs financially.

 

Even if only a 100 turn up on a Tuesday at Slough it will deprive our club of approx, £1,000, for other clubs for a Saturday game it could run into thousands.

Yes! Don't understand why everyone are so concerned about Hereford if they don't exist that's one less we have to beat.

The Besiktas game was against a very strong squad, taken by Slaven Bilic, and was not an u18 side.

 

Apologies, you are right besiktas was a full strength team of first team senior players, I must be getting mixed up with some other game. Been keeping up with so many friendlies its all getting mixed up, just cant wait for the season to kick off.

D day at Hereford where the ground is being inspected for the safety certificate.

 

So we should know today if next weeks game at Edgar Street is on or off. 

 

The ground isn't actually being inspected, its just a council meeting where the owners have to present proof that the outstanding areas have been finished.

 

Also as of this morning they havn't got a safety officer so unless they can get one pretty dam quick then Saturdays match at least will be off.

 

I have a feeling the whole thing is going to implode very soon and another club will bite the dust.

I  would hope that should Hereford collapse shortly after our fixture (not that I'm wanting them to I should add!) that the club are entitled to compensation for the travel costs ensued - especially with the league knowing full well the situation.

They have been given a further 48 hours to get sorted... have to say the Southern League really need to look at this mess... we have players unsure if they need to take time off work in less than a week etc...

 

I think Steve Easterbrook needs to speak to the southern league about this Neil. Its getting out of hand now.

Like I said before, if they weren't so disrespectful to all the other clubs in this league by boycotting away games as well as home games, I'd have more sympathy with their cause. But having read their forum, their contempt for the "small" teams in this league which apparently is in bed with the current Hereford owners means I'm going on Tuesday.
