Hereford United (A)

The league have again shown no common sense or backbone, continually extending deadlines and never making a decision.

Tommy Agombar and his "advisors" are continually promising to pay all creditors and then making feeble excuses when they don't. They have finally started to pay creditors but have only paid part of what they are owed.

Hereford have lost many sponsors due to all the bad publicity, partly due to the unofficial forum which shows we have to be careful ourselves when it comes to getting a new ground. The one interesting thing though is the hereford council are behind all the supporters and the club and are actively putting some pressure on the new owners.

I've got this feeling when the season starts the games (ours) will be behind closed doors.

Hereford are in court on Monday to face a winding up order for the third time over unpaid creditors.

With less than 2 weeks to the start of the season they will be asking for further time to present a CVA to pay creditors over 3 years.

The courts should be saying you've had long enough to draw up a CVA to present to the courts and then wind the club up for wasting everyone's time.

My first blog of the season. Why i wont be going to Edgar Street www.sloughtownsoapbox.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/hereford-in-bull-shit.html

I can see what your saying Warren BUT I do not understand why they are boycotting the away games, as this is taking money out of all the other clubs in the league. They'll not find friends that way.

So, the Hereford militants want other clubs supporters to boycott Edgar Street but won't show their appreciation by going to away games.

Although I agree with their feelings on the new owners I'm afraid it leaves a sour taste in the mouth and for that reason alone I will be going to support my team at Hereford.

I get the impression that they already feel the old hereford is dead so why support it. The supporters trust have already played two friendles, last one attracting over 800.

But by going to away games they wont be 'supporting Hereford'.

What better way than to turn up on mass at away games to voice their opinions?

By not going to "their" away games, they are also saying that they do not want to help out any of the other clubs in this league.

Let's say some of that 800 travelled (say 500) to the Hereford away games, with an average of £12 per person potential spend (Entrance fee/food/drink/programme), that is £6000 that the club they are playing fails to earn.

Which alone, could cover a lot of travelling expenses for most of the season for the other clubs.

If they travel, they will help out all the other clubs financially, keep them on their side, and can actively demonstrate against their own club every week.

The idea that 500 Hereford fans would turn up to Holloways Park on a Tuesday night, to support a team that for all intents and purposes they do not support or recognise, and therefore costing Slough circa £6k is a little far fetched don't you think?
