Cheers Neil. He might be a good acquisition, given his experience.

By the way, what happened to the other bloke? !    :)

Yes it is that Gary Macdonald, I grew up with him playing district and county football together, he went on to play for Peterborough, Woking, Ebbsfleet, Kingstonian and Met Police...

Agree with all that has been said.

Wooz was such an imposing presence his influence and organising skills not only for the backline but for the team as a whole was immense and those skills shone through in the games against Rugby and Kettering and was fully rewarded in getting the Rebels promoted the club have some big boots to fill.

All the best.

He's certainly taken his place in club history being the captain who took us to promotion, certainly a legend of the last 15 years at least.  His effort and commitment on the pitch was always a reassuring presence at the back.  My favourite memory though was his runs down the left wing at Rugby last season which resulted in two of the goals for Ed Smith that night.

Good luck Wooz, and thanks for everything.

Good guess!

Should do well next season with Wooz, one of the Davies brothers re-joining & Jack Broome who played under Bakes & Unders at Godalming.

Wonder if we would try and get Wooz to sign SL forms with us as back-up in case of an injury crisis if they don't have a game and we do if Binfield allowed that to happen?

Should have known Wooz would sign for Binfield, local club to him (and me!). Shall be down there some Mondays and even those Saturdays when it's a long trip to watch the Rebels playing away.

Wooz has been probably the best ball playing defender since Trevor Baron to play for the

rebels, good luck Wooz, my guess will be Binfield

Obviously you're entitled to your opinion but I can't agree with it.

Trevor Baron was passed his best by the time he got to Slough and as much as I like Dave Woozley, we have had quite a few good ones over seasons  ie Gary McGinnis,Leon Townley,Chris Seeby,Graham Roberts,Steve Perkins and Adam Foulser, are ones off the top of my head now.

The best ball playing centre half i have seen play for us was Eric Young.

Was in the Wimbledon side that beat Liverpool in the FA Cup went on to captain Wales he was majestic.

Yes I remember Eric Young but unfortunately never saw him in Slough colours.More's the pity.

.....and another tribute is that every club he has played for, and their fans, seem to have great respect and admiration for Dave.Which I think says it all.
