CD Towner
Do people think we have enough matches? Borehamwood Harlow Beveren Burnham R/Hertford 4 games doesn't seem enough to me. Are there any more planned? Dissapointing to not have any professional clubs visiting this year especially after the last couple of years having Tottenham, Aston Villa, Norwich City, Wrexham all visiting Donkey Lane. OldTowner
CDT, Think you need to review the Club position regarding pitch maintenance between the rugby agreement dates. We can't do it all.
CD Towner
As an Enfield Town supporter OT, I'm not really too interested in the rugby agreement. My point was 4 matches do not seem enough. I would also remind you that we could play away! Probably not against professional clubs though so I take your point on that one.

Steph
I don't know, (so perhaps I shouldn't post)but it seems to me that friendlies pre-season do not, generally, imitate the tensions and situations that you get in a competitive game. I think that the management can get a better idea of the abilities of he players at their disposal by internal club games. In those games all players on the pitch are playing for their place in the first team and so there may be a stronger competitive edge. I am disappointed that I am going to miss the trip to Beverens where I think we might see some competition for places.
CD Towner
I doubt there'll be much competition vs Beveren. It should be a great trip but the opposition aren't of the highest standard!
OldTowner
A special trip and I am sure it will be a great opportunity for team / squad bonding. Everyone looking forward to a good weekend.
Arkwright
The number of friendlies we play should be down to the managers preference, might well ask George that question tonight.
