A new ground - mobilising and organising ourselves

They don't need a reason, they will or they won't hand it over. It's completely in their hands and until they (DfE) decide it is out of our hands.

The application could have been cleared years a go, but for "no reason" it hasn't, so we have to wait

It's the waiting that's been the issue all along, irrespective of Gove's tampering. This Red Tape syndrome is pathetically slow, somewhere between 7 and 11 years and counting in this case.

Have I dreamt that there is a council meeting 7th. July where the subject of the ground will be discussed? If I'm correct a decision would be nice (too much to hope or maybe I should just carry on dreaming?!).

We've been waiting longer than that.

Left Wexham park 02/03 season, known we'd need a new ground 97/98 season, so we've been waiting for 17 years.

IT JUST NOT ON ANY MORE.

On the way to training last night I was listening to 6-love-6 Which is the tennis version of 6-o-6. There was a caller phoned in and John McEnroe being not of these shores could not pronounce SLOUGH. The woman on the line said " oh no I'm not from Slough I'm from Stoke Poges", Tim Henman then said " Oh the POSH AREA"

This woman needs to look at her post code and her dialing code it is in Slough, if that's the case I'm from Wexham not Slough.

Must be against the law or something, otherwise I'm sure they would be more than willing to help the club they are reported to support.

No, it's not against the law, but local councils are run very much along the lines of national government.

Councillors that are elected under the banner of one of the three main parties will have a 'leader' who will definitely instruct them what they can and can NOT say in public.

The only exception might be a councillor who is elected as an independent.

You could always try a face to face, off the record conversation with them.  That usually works, I recently found.

In our case, with three supporters being councilors, one being the 'leader' of the council, I would think that 'off the record conversations' would of been a foregone conclusion.

I do wonder sometimes though.

I'm sure Bakes mentioned in one of his interviews that there was a Council meeting about the ground in early July.

I asked 1 of them at a match while another listened in,

I ask about Abour Vale and the reply I got was.

" All the time I'm a councillor a school will never go there"

That's what you get if you ask a question face to face. BOL*****
