Time for action (again)

Recommended Posts

Following the post from Steve Easterbrook on the other thread calling for fans to take action, I thought I'd start a thread to see if we can get some ideas moving.

In March a few of us wrote to councillors, Rob Anderson and Fiona McTaggart asking about what was happening.

Now seems to be the time for everyone to do it, and this time we need to take in the Department for Education as well.

They need to be asked:

- why the process continues to take so long

- why if this was news to them a year ago weren't we told

- is there feasibly still enough land left to fit in a 2-300 stadium, and why are there suddenly 'no designs in place' for any community sports facilities (they put this on Twitter) even though there are stadium plans which could just be moved across the site if there is enough land.

- why if they can fund it themselves now and include a stadium that meets the needs of the club (I assume after having to purchase land from the DfE and then build on it), can they not look into the feasibility of buying the Wexham Park site for the club?

- how long will these 'discussions' with the DfE continue to take and how long will it take to design and build if it is agreed?

Could we do a protest like the one we did at the Walsall game, with the cards them being sent to the council and DfE?

Anyone got other ideas for what we can do? Obviously keeping it clean and respectful at all times.
