SurreyInt
Hello everyone, I'd like to introduce myself as Danny, the Chairman of the Surrey IFA, or Surrey Independent Football Association although we will likely rename ourselves to help avoid confusion with what we want to achieve. Although I currently do not have any position or role in non-league football I am hoping to soon become involved with Westfield FC. The Surrey IFA is currently a unincorporated association at this early stage in our history although intend to become a non-profit organisation in the form of a limited by guarantee company. The goal of the Surrey IFA is to become involved in non-FIFA international football, which as the name may suggest, is international football involving teams unable to join FIFA for whatever reason. the Surrey IFA wants to then use this platform to then give the opportunity to predominately non-league players the chance to compete in fixtures and competitions against teams who include players who compete for clubs in some of the higher leagues of Europe. Earlier this month the umbrella organisation for these teams, ConIFA, or the Confederation of Independent Football Associations held its inaugural tournament, a World Football Cup involving 12 teams from Europe, Asia and Africa. We do not want to replace, undermine or damage the work done by the Surrey County FA, London FA, or the Football Association to benefit grassroots football and only wish to present a unique opportunity to clubs and their players to develop and showcase their clubs talents against opposition that includes a range of semi-professional and professional footballers from around the world. We are currently preparing for our debut fixture against Sealand, a non-FIFA team which includes amateur from around Surrey and representing a WW2 platform off the Essex coast. We are interested in any assistance clubs can offer us, particularly with players and coaching staff who we hope could benefit from the experience that non-FIFA football could offer them. We do not intend to play any fixtures of days which may have any effect on any clubs fixtures, especially any league or cup ties and will predominately play during the summer months. I will answer any questions people have, or you can look at our website; http://www.surreyifa.org/

SurreyInt
I should specify because the clubs chairman did bring this to my attention earlier today that the line in the first paragraph, "Although I currently do not have any position or role in non-league football I am hoping to soon become involved with Westfield FC." did cause some confusion for some people. This involvement Is not in relation to Surrey IFA, and is instead related to myself as an individual outside of the Surrey IFA, with the position in question being related to the club's website. I do apologies to the confusion as I first though that sentence didn't suggest anything about SIFA which I was clearly proved otherwise, and should say that the activities of the Surrey IFA are not currently connected in anyway with any club, at any level, including Westfield FC where this confusion centers around. At this stage the Surrey IFA are simple a team seeking a ground on which to play our debut fixture, nothing more.
MiddleMan
Difficult to quite understand just what this is all about. I have no hidden agenda but a word of caution. Players/clubs/match officials should take care not to get involved with non-sanctioned football, as the potential consequences can be far reaching, and could include voiding any insurance cover that may be in place
Jeff Hamnett TSF
So your simply a team looking for a ground to play on , who need help with coaching and playing staff? I'll be interested when you get the away fixture at Monaco!
