Well I was almost right......

Enfield got a great result against Basildon.....

Sawbo done us all a favour....beating Concord..

Finally Barkingside V Ilford...

Ilford totally dominated the game....could and should have been 4-5 nil up with 75 mins gone.....but their Goalkeeper Michael Whittaker was absolutely superb.....They equalised with about 7 mins to go......real sickner and we felt mugged....but thats football........Still it keeps it interesting...

Tim is back with Ilford...signed about three weeks ago.....He is doing really well.....although he hasn't scored....yet

Clarky links up really well with him.........

It would appear since we signed Lee Double & Allan Fenn and the return of Tim has not only improved results but also performances....

We do have a very strong squad right now........

We at Ilford are just really pleased to be up there along with yourselves.....

Long may it continue.....we us at the top of course

BTW....Ilford V Basildon this Weds evening......in the Essex Thameside Trophy.....We will have a squad side out as key players are rested for the trip to Brentwood....

I wonder what excuse Basildon will have if they lose to our ressies....? lol

Kenny Leslie was released by Ilford after an "incident".....Which was a shame.....still I think the general consensus is that we are better off with Timmy O...I believe that he is doing nothing at the moment.......

 

To answer your question so Barcardi doesn't have to reply...Kristian Downs is still with Basildon.....probably their best player as well..

Our manager is still Stuart Margolis.......He hed to work away for a short while hence John (I'm a plastic gangster) stepping in.

I think money was an issue with Tim......He wasn't really appreciated and got much recognition from the management until he'd gone.

credit where its due...they now see what a mistake they made and now he's back playing very well for us....

BTW....well done for this year....you may have a young side but I think evrey team realises that to take points off of yourselves you have to work for them.....

Keep up the good work...and thanks for taking 4 points off of Concord.....

I know stuart quite well, he was the manager of our reserves about 5 years ago, i was 16 then! he is a nice bloke. someone said he had a falling out over there.

 

thanks, we are working hard. we are good defensivly but need to score more goal. Rikki Burbridge (may or may not of heard of him) has just finished a suspension and come back from a major op should help out with that. He is a quality striker but needs to get fit. our side is very young. we have 5 regular 1st team players who are 17 and under. the ave age is about 20, the oldest player is 25 now. our game against burnham at the weekend was like a youth team game!

 

was there any truth in Clarke going back to enfield??

Draw specialists you lot..!

Well the prob with Clarkey is this...

He left ETFC cos he wanted to chance his arm at a higher level with Waltham Forest...ETFC wished him well but doubted his obvious talent and was almost certain he'd come back......

He didn't...and the reason why was because he felt under rated and unappreciated by Jim Chandler.(NOT BY THE SUPPORTERS I MUST ADD)

Since then Jim has put in a couple of seven dayers and made numerous unofficial phone calls to Danny but he keeps turning him down.

He is enjoying it at Ilford.......contrary to what people might like to think...

how is WEST doing for you? i dont know him but played against barkingside 4 times last season and thought he was exceptional every time. when we played you this season i thought he was v quiet by any standards.

 

yeah although burnham are def the draw specialists!

 

waltham forrest are crying out for goals at the mo, although got 3 at w/e.

I've heard differently that Clarke wanted back until his contract with Ilford was lodged with the FA meaning it all irrelevant anyway!
