Tel
Starting early should have advantages, I am sure not too many leagues will be off as early With supporters / ground hoppers looking to get the season going, (Mark / Ray) it's down to you. A couple of juicy fixtures to start the season off would I hope get a few extra spectators through the gates

copa mundial
Can we play more midweek games when the pitches are good ? Would be nice to get 20 games under our belts before December at least
Tel
In reply to mal316 I don't think the C /C were the only league caught out by the RAIN The amount of RAIN we had caused a minor hiccup. As for his quote "always problems" not sure that's quite true. Hey, look on the bright side, it won't happen again, unless it RAINS
lazarus
"Can we play more midweek matches early on" is a question always posed by someone whenever there is a poor winter, now sadly most of them. Please tell me though how you could do that, if you accept the present practice in the Premier Division (as with all senior leagues) that matches are initially scheduled for every Saturday, plus selected bank holidays, with virtually all the remainder being set for midweek dates earlier in the season. Do you want to leave a number of Saturdays blank to get in more midweek matches at the start? Clubs are already at liberty to agree with their opponents to bring any match forward if they so desire but it rarely happens. I have already had one club asking for less midweek matches right at the start of the season so I doubt that any change would please everyone but I'm always open to suggestions. Tel
Does anyone know when the fixtures are released? Due to ground share, not until the Ryman & Southern Leagues have produced theirs. Not for a while yet

lazarus
If we didn't have any ground shares with clubs in other leagues, the fixtures would be available very shortly after the AGM but over the years I have found it best in the long run to wait for all the information required to be at hand. We need Epsom to get their own ground or share with another CCL side! As it is an early start, it may be sensible this season to release the opening days fixtures before the rest as I will know in advance whether or not Chipstead are playing at home or away in a friendly on Sat 2 August. My target date for the remainder, assuming the Ryman fixtures are announced on or before 15 July, is 23 July

Of course the Clubs request for less midweek matches right at the start of the season will be denied.Unless there are very good reasons for allowing this to happen. Please cast in stone, the final fixture date, where all 22 teams, must play on the same day.
