Tom
Is that the remnants of the car show or them attempting to do something to it for next season?
epicrebel
It wasn't the car show, saying that it's in better condition now, than this time last year. I think it would of been another couple of weeks before they started on it.
Ian
Looks like they've parked 100 cars on it. Oh, hang on...

Ian
The car show was in the field this year Really? Why the hell does the pitch look so cut up?!
epicrebel
The only thing I can think of is, Where the burger van entrance is there are tyre marks so I guess they drove on the pitch to put the top soil down. Also they've put a lot down as the goal mouth is now got a mound tapering down to the sides, instead of it being flat across the goal mouth. The bit I find strange is the patch where it floods first has not been built up.
Sir Rebel1965
At least you can see the work has started on the foundations for the covering at the far end.
Neil Baker
I think what they have done is top soil it and seed it, which is more than they did last year, so with a bit of luck it should be in good nick come August. I remember coming down end of July last year and being disappointed with the pitch, however have a good feeling about it this year, especially with Ian in charge on the renovations. Fingers crossed we get plenty of sun and rain.

I thought last season,it looked the best it had done for ages! Didn't think it was poor at all, the pitch was good last year, I had just hoped it would have been in better nick when I had gone down in July last year, however by the time the season started it was in good nick. What I am saying is I have a feeling it may be better this year... Ian and his lads are some of the best, so is in good hands.
