Rebel Kay
I have been sent details of a World Cup Prediction game which beside being a bit of fun, having a cash prize also offers the club the potential to raise some money. The cost is £10 per player. To make it a financially viable we need a minimum of 5 players, obviously the more that take part the more money the club can make. Before I invest too much time in this I have two questions. Firstly is anyone interested in joining in and secondly would someone be prepared to take on the setting up of it. Apparently once set up it runs itself. If you would be interested in joining in, please leave a message here.
staines_rebel_Jr
any more info on what will actually happen during the prediction game? I might be able to help run it if needed, being a Uni student I have just a little bit of free time at the moment (4 1/2 months )
Ian
It's an externally run site and costs £10 per player so doesn't require much organising. As far as I can see there are seven rounds and you have to predict a winning team for each round of matches. Once you get one wrong you are out. The catch however is you can only pick a team once throughout the tournament so you wouldn't want to waste your selection of Brazil in round 1 when they are playing a team of goat herders! Once individuals register it's quite simple as far as I can tell so just requires enough people to enter and someone to post results on the forum etc. as they happen and perhaps publish people's guesses before each round of games.
