A couple of non league snippets

Nathan Poulton has left Marlow having been lured away by a step 3 club with an offer he couldn't turn down.

I think 3spirit would love him at the rebels having been an admirer of him in the past.

You are right,RR, I've always rated Nathan Poulton. Not surprised he would be picked up by a team at our level.

I dont know if this has been mentioned before but a Magpies fan has told me that Mark Nesbit is being given a testimonial match to recognize his 10+ years at York Rd Sunday 30th July Mark is apparently assembling his own non-league team to bring to York Rd. I wonder how many/if any Rebels we be in his team.

The original idea banded about was for Slough to play Maidenhead with Nis to play one half for each team but for some reason that idea got kicked into touch.

Nis will be selecting players that he has played with over the years so I doubt that any player from Slough will be taking part. Also we have the West Brom game on the Saturday before his testimonial.

The Mark Nisbet testimonial details have been on the Maidenhead site for quite a while now.

According to the Chesham forum, centre forward Lewis Toomey, ex Kings Langley has signed for them, as have Adam Pepera Dunstable's centre half and captain. Also a certain Victor Osobu is another lined up for them.

Stephen Hamilton Forbes has left the club to join Mertsham in the Ryman Premier.

Lewis Hilliard has joined St Ives!

A player I've rated very highly in the past.

Not sure why a player with his ability on the ball wants to play on that god awful pitch.

I think there might be few bob in the coffers at St Ives this coming season.

Remember those 11 'new' players could also include players from last season re-signing. They certainly need a clear out though if they have intentions of coming back up, as we all know how tough it is! It's crazy they're still waiting months later for a simple decision on their ground, with Pre season starting in just a couple of weeks you'd be very wary if you supported them if the ground is actually going to be available for their first home game?
