Still not many players can say they have played in a European cup match, though a recent former Slough player is in an even smaller number who can they have actually scored in one.

Beaconsfield Town fc have a new chairman at the helm and are advertising for a manager with experience at Step 4, in the Non League Paper,which was featured in the centre pages of the newspaper.

The club has cut ties with Nas Bashir's FAB academy and previous manager/director of football Andy Hurley has also left the club.

 

I don't think they will be short of applicants for the post. Will be interesting to see who they get.

Runners up Hertford Town have been promoted to the Rymans north instead of LC. Apparently LC wanted to be placed in the Southern league central.

Gary Meakin? Wasn't he a previous Becko manager? Has been around local clubs

a bit, knows lots of players.

 

Let's see how many from Egham switch to Becko.

He has done the rounds between Beaconsfield, Burnham and Egham. Like many local managers im sure he'll bring a few players with him. I guess it will depend on their budget first.

Happened a few weeks ago but Southall FC have announced they will be ground sharing at Hayes and Yeading new ground this coming season, despite the fact H&Y have not yet been given the green light themselves to use the ground.

My favourite quote has to be about H&Y new stadium "Once the stadium is complete it will be on par with most league 2 stadiums if not some league 1 & championship stadiums." I have never seen a league club with a stadium which has just 1 side.

Southall used to be a very good amateur side back in the day.

 

Les Ferdinand, Justin Fashanu and Alan Devonshire all played for them with Devonshire being sold for 5k to West Ham.

 

They have now been homeless for 25 years.

I Remember playing at Southall for Wokingham Town many years ago.  There must be a lot of clubs from the sixties and seventies that are now long gone.

Nathan Poulton has left Marlow having been lured away by a step 3 club with an offer he couldn't turn down.
