Kings Lynn wiĺl also be charging £12 next season (there is a meeting next Monday to decide this with a few wanting £15)

I meant to say Kings Lynn in the previous post not Basingstoke. (I had been reading up on the Basingstoke ground situation aswell and my mind must have confused the two when I wrote it.)

They had the meeting this Monday where the owner announced it, there were rumours before the meeting it might be £15 or that some games would be increased to £15 rather than the £12.

If any games do end up at £15 I think a lot of people would be put off and most away fans wouldn't turn up, a long trip plus £15 entry for this level of football is not right.

Shame to see Skelmersdale are in trouble also talk of extinction.

Lucky to have watched Steve Heighway at the Dolphin in the Amateur Cup game as soon after he left for Liverpool.

Does look grim for Basingstoke, wonder if they'll stay full time next season. I'm guessing it'll be cheaper than going back to semi-pro and paying the wages needed for a competitive team at this level. Problem is Basingstoke is quite secluded and there's not really any ground near that's upto or near standard. You can see them being nomads for a while similar to our recent past.

With the rich owner gone I can't see how they can possibly afford to stay full time.

Might be wrong but can't see Terry brown staying as the club will be very different to the one he signed up to.

Glen Tamplin the millionaire owner of Billericay has apologised to the fans after their 2-0 defeat to Dulwich blaming himself for the defeat.

Stating that his single most important role at the club is 'managing the mindset of the players' and after their excellent performance at the weekend he allowed complacency to filter through to the players and as a result we were 'under prepared' for the game.

Looks like Billericay have the right man at the helm

He's also reduced admission to half price for their next home game.

You couldnt make it up! Leamington lost 0-1 to Frome today Leamington were awarded a 93rd minute corner and their GK Tony Breedon came up for it He was flattened in the box and Leamington awarded a penalty which the Frome GK saved. Chippenham of course won again.

When will these clubs learn that getting bodies through the turnstile is the key not how much you empty them at the turnstile.

Look at what both we and Maidenhead have achieved by keeping the costs of season tickets down to just £100. Massive increases. Also they only charge £10 for Conf south so get 1000 in.

Today Poole FC did a pay what you like day. Almost doubled their crowd and made out like bandits on beer and pies and programmes
