A couple of non league snippets

Not been there but from the images and video it's look pretty clear that 3 sides are wide enough for 1 person deep and just about room for another to walk past. Going by that scenario I can't imagine the capacity can be much more than 1,500? Again it stunts any future growth, ok their ambitions may suit only 1 level higher but just seems odd for it to be so tight.

Does look grim for Basingstoke, wonder if they'll stay full time next season. I'm guessing it'll be cheaper than going back to semi-pro and paying the wages needed for a competitive team at this level. Problem is Basingstoke is quite secluded and there's not really any ground near that's upto or near standard. You can see them being nomads for a while similar to our recent past.

It's interesting that Whitchurch United is mentioned as a possible long-term option. Their ground is county league standard at best, which is perhaps the level Basingstoke Town will need to unfortunately look to.

Basingstoke have signed a preliminary agreement to groundshare at Farnborough next season while they continue to look for options in the borough. The Camrose is being sold for redevelopment.

Should be good for both teams, what with Basingstoke being in limbo and Farnborough with their dwindling support.

If things continue as they are, I wouldn't be surprised if a merger was discussed.

Be a shame for both clubs, as in the past you would deem it unthinkable but the way things are going for both, it wouldn't come as a shock.

looks like Basingstoke will be charging £12 entry for adults next season.

Adrian - It has been obvious that ground sharing outside of the town clearly decreases attendances but also decreases talk and awareness of the club in the town it represents with less people interested in the club, particularly youngsters who probably forget the club exists.

I think it goes without saying that for the club to be located within the boundaries of the town/city/village it represents is of great importance. In our case the move back into Slough into the Arbour Park Community Facility has had a dramatic effect on the club attendances (together of course with this season's playing success). We have seen a marked increase in support from families/youngsters and increased ethnic involvement. This all adds to the onward progress of the Club's involvement in the community with the various well reported initiatives. Mind you I think that whilst we were in exile we were still strong on community involvement but being back in Slough has strengthened our ability in all directions.
