A couple of non league snippets

Kings Langley have just erected a covered stand over the new terracing that was in place when we played them in the summer. They have also put in a planning application for a new 200 seater covered stand to replace the existing 100 seater stand. The small 50 seater stand will also remain to comply with the ground grading requirements. If approved work will start on this in April. the estimated cost is between £15K and £20K.The Parish council have given their approval although they were concerned with parking issues.

So the Parish Council were concerned that if KL erect a new 200 seater stand attendances will increase and possibly cause parking issues

OK KL had to do this to satisfy league rules but I have to say what a waste of money.

To put it in perspective their biggest league attendance this season is 310 with an average of just 136. Their biggest attendance is lower than our lowest attendance, even our league cup and B&B attendances were higher.

Noticed that 'rubbish' player James Granger got an assist for the winning goal for Poole Town in their win against East Thurrock in the Conference South, after coming on as sub ! !

Also Adam New scored the winner with a header for Hartley Wintney in their 1-0 win.

Picture on facebook of the bulldozers knocking down Nene Park.

Redeveloped at a cost of thirty million pounds only twenty five years ago what a waste of a superb stadium.

Yeah I've been following this, it seems they need to groundshare from next season as 'their' ground isn't being sold off by their chairman who wants out after the council rejected the latest stadium proposal. Can't think of any grounds local that are upto standard, meaning they'd somehow need to find the cash to bring it upto standard.

Can't understand the pressing need to move from the Camrose! OK, definitely agree it's a bit

sad and in need of upgrading, but what's wrong with a staged project? The state of some

grounds in our league make Basingstoke's look like Wembley!!
