Kyle Anthony and Ryan O'Toole are Steve Bateman's first signings for Berkhamstead apparently. Though they didn't play in their win yesterday.

Another familiar face scored for Bracknell yesterday, that being George Short.

At least we know they're not going there for the cash! Still remember watching Slough beat them 4-0 I think in an FA Cup tie many years ago.

I think Kyle Anthony and O'Toole are too long in the tooth and have by now probably realised that they are just not good enough to command the cash.

So not quite gaga yet. I was working on various contracts up t'north at the time and came back in 1992. When Roy Butler played for Slough I somehow found myself looking after his two then young lads. I remember Berko scoring first but then we overrun them. One goal which sticks reasonably in my memory (I think!)was a Steve Thompson/Gary Donellan double act. Only remarking the other day how quickly time seems to fly.

I think they have plenty to offer at that level, though.

In fact they would do a job in the Central division. Kyle Anthony, in particular is a useful player to have.

Kings Langley have just erected a covered stand over the new terracing that was in place when we played them in the summer. They have also put in a planning application for a new 200 seater covered stand to replace the existing 100 seater stand. The small 50 seater stand will also remain to comply with the ground grading requirements. If approved work will start on this in April. the estimated cost is between £15K and £20K.The Parish council have given their approval although they were concerned with parking issues.
