Seems things haven't worked out for Brad Hewitt at Hendon, he's now signed for Biggleswade Town.

 

Must be difficult for him to keep travelling up to Biggleswade for games/training etc.

Brad is no longer signed with us, having had a chat with Brad he wanted to play and not sit on the bench, and with that in mind we could not offer him that guarantee so he moved on, and has since signed for Biggleswade as cover for Russel Short who is suspended.

I think it might be something to with where Merthyr is situated geographically.

As I posted previously the recommendation of the turf manufacturers is not to play at below -5C due to the artificial grass blades becoming brittle and liable to be damaged.

Ive also been told that once frozen a 3g pitch takes longer to thaw out than a natural one Anyone (David Carpenter?) know if this is true?

Yes that's another facet. Normal grass pitches will have a natural sub-surface entropy to assist with the thawing out whereas any soil entropy sub-surface to 3g pitches is liable to be insulated from the 3g carpet by the formation construction.  Entropy - what chickens get when they win the league.
