A couple of non league snippets

Firstly a big welcome to Chris Flood and best wishes for success with the Rebels. Congratulations to Bakes and Unders on this signing. On the County cup front if I may throw in my tuppence-worth the old rule used to also be that if a player had already played in a county cup competition then he couldn't play in another equivalent county cup in the same season? Might be wrong and totally irrelevant probably but this is the snippet thread!

I'd say that sounds pretty logical Dave.

If you play in county's cup you cannot then play in another county's cup.

Just to confirm Floody lives round the corner from myself and Jon in Fleet, so nice easy journey to football for him!

His ears will be ringing by the time he gets on the pitch ! :D

Tom is not available today! He had plans this weekend and as we only put in for International clearance for him Monday we were not expecting to get it so quick!

I would expect that he will play some part inn tuesday now that the 7 day rule is no longer in force, though we are waiting for his southern league form to be confirmed!

Burnham lost 6-1 yesterday. Looks like they will need to go back to the drawing board, if they are going to have any luck in staying up.

Beaconsfield won 6 nil away at Petersfield Town in front of 55 that must be sole distroying how lucky we are.

Bunting who is scoring for fun had a trail at Birmingham good luck to him.

Three ex players changed clubs.

Jhia Dilton to Redditch

Luke Knight to Barton

Chris Henry to Chalfont.

Maidenhead, in fantastic form (unbeaten in 19 league matches) beat Dartford 5-0...... with Tarpey scoring four.

They are currently 9 points clear at the top, and if they keep Tarpey, who has scored 26 goals so far this season, look likely to be promoted to the Conference National.
