Farnborough getting deeper in the brown stuff all the time.

I'm sure this will send alarms ringing to local managers that some players will most likely become available, and Farnborough do have a couple of good players.

We played Farnborough in a pre season match and their squad was fairly similar to what it is now so Bakes and Unders will know some of the players and possibly keep an eye on one or two. A couple of decent strikers in Perry coles, Ed Smith, Dennis Oli and Nic Ciardini, not sure if Neil and Jon would be interested but I am sure they will get a few offers in the coming weeks.

That makes Spencer sound like some kind of 'Gang master' I'd like to think players are free to make up their own minds who they play for. I do bow to your superior knowledge of what goes on behind the scenes Neil but having seen Spencer operate, he treats his players like rubbish so what hold does he have on them?

I cannot believe some of the inferred references to any financial mismanagement at Farnborough.

I am sure they have always paid all their debts on time, made sure the taxman was always paid promptly in full, and made sure they always had enough cash to remain solvent, and would never go into administration for any other reason than genuine financial ones once all other options had been exhausted.  The owners and directors have always been pillars of the local community, who's honest and reputable interests have always put the club first above any personal gain.

Why else would a club put players on to contracts, but to show their commitment and loyalty to ensure payment and long term commitment to the players, anyone thinking that it would be to stop other clubs picking them up without paying a fee would have to be highly cynical.

I think we should all cancel our Christmas celebrations and give them the money we would have spent on our own enjoyment, and support such an honest and reputable club.

I think it will come together for them and they will shine next season when they play in the Allied counties.

I'm a bit confused..... Enfield Town reported Anthony Mendy moved to Leatherhead, Leatherhead reported that Anthony Mendes had signed from Enfield Town.

Anthony Mendes started for Leatherhead yesterday and scored twice in their 3-1 win at Hendon (Brad Hewitt was playing for Hendon).

Presumably Anthony Mendy, Anthony Mendes and Tony Mendy are all the same player??
